Hi Michelle have you tried swim lessons, or music together is always fun and the kids love it.

Hi There,
The SC public library has lots of programs for all ages. We like going to the Capitola library for storytime because they also have a playground right outside which my children like to play on before and after going inside. We've also been going to Together in the Park on Thursdays at Frederick St. Park, 10-12pm. Usually when I have to run errands/shopping, we'll stop near a park to play before or after. Like when we go to Costco, we'll stop at Harvey West to play at the playground. You could go walking on West Cliff, maybe swing by the casino at the Boardwalk to play a couple of "good behavior" games. If you ever go down to Pacific Ave., after walking along the mall, you could walk across the river to feed the ducks or play at San Lorenzo Park. Even, just a trip to the mall to walk around is enough for us to feel like we've gotten out of the house to "do something." I think Capitola Book Cafe has a story time on Mondays, I'm sure a "Growing Up in Santa Cruz" would give specifics and even give you some other ideas for things to do! Good luck!

I second the story time at the library. I used to bring my son to Baby Rhyme Time at the Galt St. library, but I don't know if it's still held there. I bring him to all the different libraries to get books.

You could also go for walks in Henry Cowell State Park. I like the loop there. You can use a stroller on the loop if you want, and the little ones can enjoy the Visitor Center after your walk. You could have a picnic at Roaring Camp.
