santa cruz moms

A place for local moms to share information and meet new friends

Here is a link to an article in one of my parenting magazines that had me in stitches... I should note quickly that I usually barely skim those magazines while I'm cooking dinner or folding clothes (etc...) and rarely ever read an article from beginning to end but this one just got my attention. I honestly felt like someone had been watching me or something... That is just so me and my life in every way! Hilarious! Enjoy :)

Seems I always have the best of intentions and yet always fall flat on my face... TOTAL FAILURE nearly every time whether it be a big "baking" project or "crafty" project or what have you... Oh well, at least my mommy brain amnesia allows me to keep trying again and again :)

Oh, that is why my house is un-plant worthy, and I let my neighbor do allmy gardening.

Oh my gosh, I've been through this SO many times! I'm officially....a non-gardener. At least for now! I have zero guilt about nailing my kids with the hose. At first they're shocked...but then they think it's funny. With every squirt I'm thinking "And this is for leaving your socks on the floor....And this is for NEVER rinsing your toothpaste-spit down the sink.....and this is for not AIMING very well......." Lol.

Lacy that is so funny!!! And Ithought I was the only one.... I now have my 5 year old clean his toilet mishap area, I figure, really, honestly, that is just simply NOT my job.... :)

That's a good idea! My family tends to scatter when I'm cleaning the bathroom because they know that I'm irritated. Whenever I'm on my hands and knees cleaning around the toilet, I'm thinking "At this moment, I am the lowest form of life. It just doesn't get any ickier than this!" Anyway, you've inspired me. I'm the only one (aside from the baby) in this house who is a perfect shot. I think I'm going to give the toilet job to the boys!

Absolutely! It might not get done well (I usualy have to finish up the job - out of his sight mind you) but just knowing that he is responsible for cleaning up his mess has prompted him to be a bit more careful about his aim, plus it saves me from the daily irritation of: "Seriously? That bowl not big enough for ya!? Come on!!"
