A place for local moms to share information and meet new friends

In October I was introduced to a Company that sells "Green" or "Eco-friendly" household items. I am sure most of you have heard of it...Melaleuca.. Alot of people do this as a business from home. I had heard of it, and thought about it at one point too. But my life is too busy to add something else to my life.
So, because I am a mom, I signed up to use the products in my home and that was it. And that is what I am doing. I liked that the products were safe for my 3 kids to be around. If I used one of their wipes on my kids face, I knew that I wasn't contaminating them with something strange. If my kids lick the floor or walls...(because they do!)...it wasn't going to harm them. I have slowly bought products to test them out against my Nob Hill purchases. And it surprised me that I liked them just as much. And the best part of it all...I don't have to drag my kids to the store to shop..well I still do, but I can order these products from my home...while they are sleeping...and they come straight to my door!
Anyways....I am really not trying to sell this, or create income from it. Honestly. I don't have time for that. So, I am just letting you all know about this company. We all live in a very "Green" county. And most of us already do what we can for our environment. But if you want to know more about it, just send me a message.

Hey Robin
How does this stuff compare to the Shaklee cleaning products? I ordered those after seeing them on Oprah.

Michelle,

I don't know anything about Shaklee, I htink I did see that Oprah show though. Melalueca uses Tea Tree Oil in pretty much everything. I know that one of the examples I was given about laundry detergent is that the stuff from a regular store, not Eco friendly takes 90 years to go through our system. Melalueca takes 3 days. I DO know that the prices are cmparable to regular stores. And shipping is only about $5. With Melalueca you DO have to spend so much each month to save money. We spend about $50. You don't have to be on their saving plan, but if you aren't you pay more for their products.
One main draw to it, was that I signed up under Camp Hammer, a Christian camp in Boulder Creek. It is part of a fundraiser program so Camp hammer gets 5% of my sales back to them. So I am getting good products and helping a Non-profit at the same time.
